Basic Strategy Chart

 

 


1. Download the Internet Casino Software

Ÿ You will need to visit a Playtech Casino website to download their software. For example, http://www.bettercasino.com. Or, visit one of the 40 other casinos supported by ABP.

 

Ÿ Install the Casino software making sure that you install the English language version

 

Ÿ You will have to create a new account when the casino software first starts up. Sign up for either a Fun or Real account (or both).

 

Ÿ A word of advice, always start off playing Fun money first if you are new to online gambling!

 


2. Select the BlackJack Single Player Game

Ÿ Select the Single Player BlackJack game is selected in the Casino software. At this time, Advanced BlackJack Pro (ABP) supports only the Single Player game at Playtech casinos.

 

 

Ÿ The following settings are optional. However to get the most out of ABP, it is highly recommended that you set the following. When you have Single Player BlackJack running, go to the Menu – Options – Game Options at the bottom right (or left) of the casino software screen.

 

§         Fast Play – set to On

§         Disable Warning Messages – set to On (disable)

§         GAME SPEED – set to the highest possible by dragging the bar to the highest setting

§         Options – Audio – if you turn off music and dealer voices in Options-Audio, ABP will respond better to the casino software

 


 

 

 

3. Start Advanced BlackJack Pro and Setting up the Basics

Ÿ Now that the Casino software is loaded, start ABP from either the Windows Desktop icon that was created after installing ABP. Or select it from the Windows Start menu under Programs-Advanced BlackJack Pro.


 

Ÿ When ABP first loads you will see a default casino loaded as shown on the bottom left hand corner of the Main Form. To change the Casino select the Setup button. Then select the desired Casino from the drop down list. 

 

 

Ÿ When you exit the Setup Menu you will be brought back to the Main Form. The name of the Casino you selected should now appear at the bottom left hand corner (where "Auto" is displayed). For Example, Play United in the example above.

Ÿ There are other settings we can change from the Setup menu, however we will stick with the basics for now. The default fixed wager/bet in the Betting Strategies menu is set to $1.



4. Turn on ABP to Start Playing

Ÿ With the Casino software launched and ABP running, select the OFF button on the Main Form. This toggles between ON and OFF.

    

 

Ÿ A form will popup asking you whether the chip layout shown matches the casino's chip layout on the casino software. This is necessary to ensure that ABP matches the Casino's denomination of chips since ABP will make bets for you automatically too (if a betting strategy was selected).

 

Ÿ If the chip layout matches then simply select the check mark box (turns green after selecting) on the ABP chip layout verification form and then close the form.

Ÿ ABP starts by making the first wager at $1 and begins playing automatically. You are in business!

 

 


5. Replay your Session and Simulate Different Betting Strategies

Ÿ At this point you have probably watched ABP play hours on end by itself. Maybe more than 2,000 hands have already been played. What's next? 

Ÿ Well, you lost money, broke even, or made money - hopefully the latter!

Ÿ Here's where the fun begins and why you purchased ABP in the first place! I would suggest you let ABP play Fun money at your favourite Casino(s) and collect as much information (session logs) as possible, say more than 2,000 - 3,000 hands per session over several sessions.

Ÿ With sessions logged you can now experiment with different betting strategies and replay these with the data you've collected at the Casino(s). The Strategy Simulator and Log Viewer can be launched from the Setup menu.  

Ÿ Open the Strategy Simulator and Log Viewer.

 

 

Ÿ Et Voila, your sessions are listed in the Log Viewer list on the left hand side. Simply click each log in the list and they will be loaded and displayed in the window on the right. Use the scroll bar on the right to scroll through all the results for the selected session.

Ÿ Select a log then select RUN. The Simulator form launches and automatically replays the selected session showing the earnings: Log File (actual played), Fixed, and potential Strategy User-def earnings (see screenshot below). You can run the logs using your defined parameters.

 



Ÿ Did you notice the earnings potential? How did it compare with the actual Log File? What if you played the User-Defined Strategy? Would you have made more money? What if you stayed with just Fixed betting? Would you have made more or less money? 


 

6. Try Different Betting Strategies for Profit!

 

Ÿ The questions above are all valid. Betting variance (strategy) will affect your earnings! Now you can answer that question yourself using real data in the session logs, and be more confident because you are seeing it for yourself with your own data! Remember, not all sessions will be profitable. The real question is how often a particular strategy will make more money than not as compared to other strategies.

Ÿ How do I change/modify the betting strategy and re-run the Strategy Simulator? To modify and test your own strategies you will need access to the Betting Strategies Form. With the Log Viewer open select “Edit user-defined”.

Ÿ With the Betting Strategies form open, change the settings as you like, turn off strategies as you like, and then close the form. This will bring you back to the Log Viewer.


 

Ÿ Select RUN and your strategy is tested with the parameters you set and selected. 

Ÿ If you are Registered User, there is an expanded section in the Help Centre explaining the various parameters on the Betting Strategies form. To access the Help Centre, use your Email Address and the User-ID assigned to you when you registered (purchased).
